Here is your chance to contribute! LOL I need valium today so going to attack my scrap bucket instead!

Rainy Day 05-14-2010 06:36 PM

because the quilt will last longer than the valium!

ToucanSam 05-14-2010 06:36 PM

Because you don't have an insurance company involved!

anglgrl 05-14-2010 06:37 PM

Its much more creative and your not being lazy

quazyquilter 05-14-2010 06:38 PM

Because quilting has lasting effects...LOL

cashmommy11 05-14-2010 06:38 PM

you can still drive after quilting

Honey 05-14-2010 06:39 PM

You can have a glass of wine after your done quilting!

b.zang 05-14-2010 06:42 PM

Holice 05-14-2010 06:49 PM

if you could see the fabric in my basement and sun room you wuld know I had overdosed already.

cjomomma 05-14-2010 07:25 PM

Because it occupies your mind and gives your hands something to do other than strangling the living crap out of somebody.

amma 05-14-2010 07:28 PM

You can still operate machinery :D:D:D

redrummy 05-14-2010 07:29 PM

You can teach others to quilt without going to jail as a drug dealer

littlehud 05-14-2010 07:39 PM

You can calm yourself with sewing and leave a lasting memory in the process. Quilting is my therapy and is really cheaper. ( But not by much    )

raptureready 05-14-2010 07:59 PM

You don't have to have a prescription.

The LQS people are nicer than that Drs, nurses, and pharmacists.

Quilting has no lasting ill effects on internal organs
(except for maybe the bladder---ever stand up after several hours of sewing and barely make it to the bathroom?)

You can't get busted for having too many quilts.

The colors are prettier.

wambrita 05-14-2010 08:11 PM

Because you don't have to put something in your body that shouldn't be there!

Like your way of thinking.

sewnsewer2 05-14-2010 08:21 PM

Because you can get lost in your quilting and forget why you needed the valium in the 1st place.!

Moonpi 05-14-2010 09:21 PM

You don't need health insurance to quilt.

CarrieAnne 05-15-2010 03:45 AM

Its alot healthier!

bearisgray 05-15-2010 03:55 AM

Don't need a prescription =

Although quilting has become as addictive and expensive for me as a street drug

Well, for the most part. Who among us hasn't poked a few holes in themselves along the way?

Because the more you do it, the more satisfying it is!

bearisgray 05-15-2010 05:05 AM

I'm not sure if this makes quilting better -

but the more you do of it, the more you want (and think you need) - - -

renee765 05-15-2010 05:45 AM

Because, so far anyway, the government has not expressed any plans to create a National Quilting Plan.

LastGrandma 05-15-2010 05:58 AM

Because it brings out the love in all of us!

marsye 05-15-2010 05:59 AM

less side effects

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!

IrishNY 05-15-2010 07:17 AM

There's a lot more variety in fabric than valium and it's a lot more fun to shop for.

And you can refill your stash without a prescription.

steelecg 05-15-2010 07:26 AM

good one

'Cause when you are finished with a quilt you
have "Quilted arms of Love to surround you".

merlene 05-15-2010 09:07 AM

The only side effect is some lovely fabrics and quilts, maybe a strain for room and abit on the pocket!

Quilting calms me down, gives me peace of mind, keeps me sane, soothes my nerves, makes me happy. No matter what is going on in my life, quilting just plain gives me peace and the rewards of joy when the recipient gets my quilt is so amazing and heart warming. I'm a hand quilter by preference but all phases of quilting are pleasurable for me.

IrishNY 05-15-2010 11:17 AM

It's not illegal to share your quilts.

kwiltkrazy 05-15-2010 11:29 AM

I don't know, I think quilting is more adictive.
