My car "dings" when I'm down to 1/4 tank of gas. Why don't they make sewing machines that "ding" when your bobbin thread is down to a few yards of thread? (or do they?)

I totally agreee!! lol

They do make machines that do that. There are some machines that won't even sew when the bobbin gets low.

My machine dings and refuses to sew! Yes they are out there!! It will not sew without being threaded either. I do not know how it knows!

They do and it is annoying!! I turn it off!

My brother will not continue to sew when the bobbin is almost out or the needle becomes unthreaded.

whoa what a idea. I love it

Mine beeps! I still end up sewing a few inches with no bobbin. Better than down the length of a jelly roll strip though, huh?

My machine doesn't ding (it would annoy me), but it does have a tiny red light above the needle that blinks on when the bobbin is low. I have learned approximately how much further I can sew when that happens. I like that tiny red blinking light.
