Mine does, and as far as I know I can't turn it off. Most annoying.

I'm one of those who check when there are several feet left, then forgets and sew on and on and on...

I wish mine did that.

I would prefer the blinking light to the ding/bing/beep/ding-dong or whatever other sounds it would make!!

I've never seen one or owned one that did that, but that is a valuable feature. It should be standard!

my Pfaffs let me know when the bobbin thread is low

patricej 02-01-2011 04:58 PM

i have one that warns me when the bobbin is low and one that doesn't.

at first i thought it was a pretty cool thing.

after a while ... i went searching through the manual for a way to tell it to quit naggin' me already.

now when the nagger sounds the alarm, i take the bobbin out and finish it using the one that doesn't.

My Pfaff 1373CD does the same thing.(It's over 20 yrs old) I know "about" how much further to go, but some days I think I'm super bobbin lady and ignore it.

Seriously -- why can't someone out there invent this?? At least, make a machine that can use a full spool of thread; not truly neverending, but certainly better than a tiny bobbin!
