Oh I wish it would!! Yesterday finished a difficult seam only to find the bobbin ran out 14 inches before! ugh

My Pfaff doesn't ding when it is running low on bobbin thread, but a little light comes on to warn me ... very nice feature.

I have a vintage machine that takes a whold spool of thread in the bobbin - a feature that somehow got lost. Why can't they design the machines to take an external spool and bypass the small volume of a bobbin?

mine beeps and I ignore it

If there was a way to put a laser in the works , so that it saw the shiny (non thread) surface of the bobbin stem, when it appeared, and beeped. ...that would solve the problem Inventors hear this! Jeannie |
My Viking has a bobbin warning, and it stops on me too, I love it

Mine does!

My brother quattro warns me when the bobbin is low....sometimes. I've noticed that on rare occassion I do not get a warning. Not sure why. It also automatically threads the needle and cuts the thread when I'm finished sewing so I'll forgive its occassional forgetfulness. Its an awesome machine.
