My Baby Lock dings when the bobbin has about 1/3 of thread left on it..drives me nuts and I am always saying "will you shut up?"..

My machine has a blinking light when the bobbin is almost out which I really do like. But my question is, why can't the bobbins be bigger because it seems like you just changed it and you are changing it again?

Yes, they do. Well, not a ding, but a gentle reminder on the screen on my Babylock Ellageo.

I'm with you....why can't they make a sewing machine that uses a whole spool of thread like a serger. A serger is a "type" of sewing machine, it sews a seam, over casts, and cuts the material, if you lift up the knife blade it sews, and over casts....a sewing machine. So ladies, how can we convince sewing machine manufacturers to do the same. I have a Brother and it has THE most annoying beep when it thinks the bobbin is low. I just keep sewing, somedays I'm luck and somedays I'm not. LOL

Also they need to make a foot for our machines that is a scant 1/4"! Why are all the 1/4" feet a 1/4" and most patterns call for scant 1/4" seams?
|
mine does

They do! I have a new (Christmas gift from an understanding and loving husband!) Viking sapphire 875 quilt. It actually stops and shows me a picture that my bobbin thread is very low. Only problem, I can't get it to sew using those last few feet of thread! Mary Vezzetti
