It's your quilt. you can do what you want.

It's your quilt. I am sure it will turn out beautiful. Give the quilt police a box of donuts and send them on their way.

It's your quilt, you do it your way. If the quilt police show up at your door, lock it & pretend you are not home. There is no right or wrong way to make any quilt. It is how you want to do it is all that counts. I can never fallow a pattern exact. Always have to change something on it or how it is done.

How very well put. That's exactly what they are.

You know, sometimes what a lot of people call the "quilt police" are, quite simply, experienced quilters who are merely trying to share information that they have learned over many years of practicing a craft that you may just be starting to get the hang of.

Not all that long ago, craftsmanship was traditionally passed down from artisan to apprentice. It remains one of the very best ways to learn, from the experience of others, and it never hurts to give someone the benefit of the doubt instead of assuming them to be a meddling busy-body. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-forum/2c.gif
