Please explain, what does the term 'color fade' mean in quilting terms?
Thanks!

color fade is when you arrange the blocks so you are moving from one color to another, and usually following the color wheel - IE going from red to orange to yellow to green to blue to purple to red. And sometimes it's also done going from light to dark in one color group.

these are all examples of color fade - guess I really like using it!

I like the second option better. The colors seem more balanced. I noticed that some have the three color triangles going up while others have the three color triagles going to the side was that on purpose or just by accident?

it is on purpose, you alternate the blocks that is why i did not sew on the corners yet so i could rotate the block.

I like a color fade and would put that purple one in the far left corner and work up--blues, turquoise, greens, etc. Neat quilt.

I vote for re-arranged color fade. Very nice :)
