That job you have been procrastinating in - - every day you put off actually doing it, the job will grow in your mind until you are paralyzed, angry at yourself, and more reluctant to pick it up.
This has happened to me numerous times, and one would think I would learn! Perhaps by sharing my BIG TIP - - I will have saved someone else from their overactive imaginations and convince myself that I need to practice what I preach <g> <wave> I am now going to do a bit of organizing on my peg board and cut some triangles for my Bonnie Hunter Mystery quilt ... the rest of the day I will be working the coupon program, and when that is done, I will begin sewing part 4 or 5 of the Bonnie Hunter Mystery quilt (and, try to figure out where I put the strip quilt kit and sashing for Workday at the Post tomorrow) ... hopefully, I have enough tasks lined out today to keep me busy until nightfall <wave>

O.K. I'll do the hem in my daughter's dress slacks...I hate doing pant's hemming.

I so totally agree with this. My other big reason lately for procrastinating a job is that 'I'm afraid to start it because I really don't know how and don't want to mess it up'

Case in point: My daughters coat zipper took 18 months to start and only 2 hours to complete. I kept trying to start it but pushed is aside...scared.

The other case was my braid quilt tops. Again months and months went by because I was scared to start trimming the edges so I could sew together. With the encouragement of a friend nearby I started and completed 2 tops in 2 days!!!

Lesson learned: Don't be a scare-de-cat!!!

I think I might like to join. I have quite a few WIP's. I can't promise I won't buy more fabric, because I may need it for borders and backing, but I sure would like to tackle all these works in progess and get them finished.

Ok, michelehuston, it's the last Friday of the month...pj all night par-tay! at the sewing machine that is! stay up as long as you can, it's just wonderful to have a long block of time to work on a project.

Last Friday of every month sounds good

I have been working on the HST for the Bonnie Hunter mystery ... I will show pictures when I am totally caught up, but! I managed to add something to one of my WIP .... actually ... I did have a full little jar, but with these new dog ears, I have had to upsize - - thankfully, DD had a pumpkin glass jar for the project.

this is only half of the dog ears because of the new ruler I was using
