Very interesting discussion!
Mine is definitely this shape tool thing to make dresden plate quilts. It didn't simplify anything, in fact - I found it made things worse! |
at a quilt show - a piece of some kind of foam that you can press items in (like keys, or shapes, or press on decorative trivet) and the design would stay in the foam. Then you could take a brush or a brayer of some kind and run paint over the foam block and press it on fabric and ta-dah, you've printed your own fabric. I thought I could use it for Bible school. After moving it around a number of years, I sent to the thrift store.

If that was the Martelli...DON'T GIVE UP ON IT. I had mine for several years before I thought that I paid so much for this and couldn't get it to work, I'm going to sit at the machine until I figure it out. There are videos online and the instruction book for reference. I finally got it and can bind a baby quilt perfectly in an hour. There is a learning curve![/QUOTE]
THAT"S what I was talking about! It sits in my closet top self since I could never get it to work LOL |
Mine would have to be books and patterns. Sooooo many not used.

All the rulers I bought before I discovered Creative Grids Rulers. Don't use any of the others now.

Any rotary sharpening thing--I've bought a couple of things. None have worked well.

am I the only person in the world that dislikes the Creative Grids rulers?
|
Yup....curve master foot...and a wad of rulers of various sizes that adorn my peg rail and never get used.
