Yep, if it was all in the same place and upstairs..... oh, and we won't even think about what DH would have to say about that, I would be in trouble, doubt that your home owners insurance would cover that!!! What a "surprise" that would be, poor woman. She has my prayers!

I moved my sewing room to the basement!! Whew!! :-P

I guess this could be a problem but I can't blame the poor woman. I have been to Marden's in Ellsworth, Me several times and must admit that I had no will power when it came time to make my purchases. My stash is in a second floor bedroom in our home which was built in 1943!!!! Maybe we should purchase extra home owners insurance!

Oh no, my stash is in my bedroom closet and hubby is always saying he "doesn't" want to know how much is in there. Hope it all doesn't end up in the basement LOL...he would have a hard time recovering from that one!!!

I used to work for JoAnn, and every time the remnents went on sale for 50% off, I would definitely buy up all the calicos. It wasn't long before I had bins and bins of that stuff. I am sure after reading about the cave in, my stash would be a good candidate for a cave in too. Right now, most of my fabric is in a storage unit. I do have some here in the house, but not enough to make a dent in the floor.

It hasn't yet but if I keep shopping at Marden's, it just might ;)

Maybe I will think twice about going into many of the unique quilt shops in old houses. Some of these stores have tons of fabric and some are three stories high. I love going into them and looking at the work involved in how they make the shops so cute. Maybe now I better look to see how well they are supported to hold all the weight. Just kidding!
