I buy 2 yards of each fabric for the top and I have only made 3 lap quilts. I have TONS extra but it makes my stash look better LOL I found a pattern I liked but it was for a larger size and I just wanted to be sure I had plenty

my hand is up too, anything is an excuse for me to buy fabric!

I never plan ahead, so I never know how much I am going to need. Planning is not fun for me, so I skip to the fun part. Besides, if I do try to figure out how much fabric I need, I am usually wrong, so I just buy extra! :lol:

Who doesn't? I always have, but know people who did not and now they do. Experience is such a great teacher.

I do! Just in case I make a mistake when I cut my fabric pieces out, and for shrinkage. Or just because I love the fabric.
