I like #1. Let us know which one you pick.

luvin quilting 07-27-2010 06:33 AM

I like #2. The blue makes the colors pop and the white makes it less busy.

4luvuvfabric 07-27-2010 07:58 AM

It's #4 for me.

jdavis 07-27-2010 09:01 AM

Phew! Wow, you all make such interesting points! Stained glass, Southwest, Sky, What draws your eye where, What pops, My goodness!
Clearly, we have a bunch of artistic people on this board!
Thank you all for your wonderful input.
I was in a LQS the other day and noticed she is getting a nice collection of fall prints. And I have no money!!!! I may have to leave the decision dependent on what fabrics I find when I can spend the money.
I will try to find the time to experiment a little more with the color suggestions some of you have come up with.
Thanks again, everybody!

Let us know how it turns out - it sure is a good pattern.

i like #4 the most; second is #1; #2 is third choice and #3 is the last one. But they all look so good!

Debo 07-27-2010 12:26 PM

I like #2

bjr 07-27-2010 02:04 PM

JMHO.

I was drawn right into #2. I have to agree with you for all the same reasons you stated

IBQUILTIN 07-27-2010 06:44 PM

3 and 4 for me. The blues really add a special feel to it

wvdek 07-27-2010 07:14 PM

#3, 4, 1, & 2 in that order.

Next time, could you ask an easier question, please?

cherryberry 07-27-2010 07:16 PM

I love #1.

zz-pd 07-27-2010 08:07 PM

I like all of them, but #1 and #4 are my favorite ones. God bless.

I think the first one looks the most fallish but I'm a sucker for blue so the third one is my favorite. They all are great

auntbarb 07-28-2010 03:59 AM

#1 the leaves are less noticeable on the others

What she said!

I like 1 and 2, but 2 would be my choice. My art teacher told me to always use some blue with oranges to make the oranges pop or visa versa.. I think #2 has more life in it, it makes the orange shade more vibrant.

JCL in FL 07-28-2010 01:29 PM

I've looked at a dozen times and change my mind each time. They all are great looks. You can't go wrong.

Lori L 07-28-2010 02:18 PM

#4 for me!

fktsewing 07-28-2010 03:20 PM

#1---looks more fall like

to irma tapia,

I gave the link to Cate Tallman Evans personal website on the original post (so just go back to page 1).
I think I originally saw the pattern on the Robert Kaufman website. However, I bought the pattern probably over a year ago, so maybe it isn't "active."
If you can't get to it on Cate's site, use the contact info to get to her. I'm sure she'll be happy to help.

I like #3. It looks like stain glass windows with leaves. K

Dani 08-01-2010 08:34 PM

I like #2 and #4 the best. All are wonderful! Dani

quilterguy27 08-03-2010 08:27 AM

#2 is my favorite. I can't explain why related to color because I'm color blind, but it just looks prettier to me than the rest. It "pops"! Although all 4 patterns look good, #2 looks GREAT! Good luck. Can't wait to see it in fabric.

Revision to first opinion, if you are trying to get a "True Fall" Look, I'd go with #1, it looks the most "Fall" to me, however, I stand by my first choice of #2 as my favorite.

Quilter guy, to funny, a quilter that is color blind. Do you make a lot of black and white quilts? My son is color blind but he uses it as an excuse to avoid by sewing room.

fliedermaus 08-03-2010 09:58 AM

2 or 4 are my faves

Come to think of it, I've never made a B & W quilt. Always wanted to, tho. I think it's an advantage to be color blind because I do everything by value and let the color take care of itself. So far, so good. I've never been disappointed and so far as I know neither has anyone who has received one of my quilts.

Arleners 08-04-2010 07:23 PM

I vote for # 4. All the colors make movement. That's what I look for in a successful quilt design.

Mariposa 08-04-2010 08:03 PM

#3 is my favorite!
