I'm trying to place an order on Joann's website using a Discover Card and a gift card. At checkout it takes all the info and gives me a total but when I hit the last "Continue" button it keeps tellling me to enter a valid credit card number. It's the same credit card I've been using since 1988, there's no balance due on it, and I've used it on the website and in the store. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? (I order a lot on-line so I'm not a rookie-just never had this happen before.) Of course Customer Service is closed today.
Thanks for your help!

I didn't think JoAnns took Discover. But if they do, has your card expired?

If they do take the card, their system may be partially down, i.e. the link between their site and the cc processor's site.

I'd wait an hour or so and try the checkout again.

I buy from Joanns online with Discover card, usually no problem. Once or twice over a long time (several years) the site seems to freeze up or something when I went to pay. I tried after an hour or two and it went smooth. Maybe the site gets too busy to work properly?

I used my Discover card (on another site) one time and usually pay with my Visa ATM (which I know by heart)so I mistakenly used the Visa # instead of the Discover...DUH!!

Have you transposed any of the ##'s??

Update! I finally got my order placed. I'm guessing the problem was with the credit card site. Funny thing: after I finally placed order, they asked me to do a customer satisfaction survey. Oops--bad timing on their part. I definitely expressed my DIS satisfaction. Hopefully I didn't place 17 orders for the same items!!!

Thanks everyone for all your suggestions. I'm just not a very patient person.
