Default progress on cat blocks with black background...and a question

I posted about a week ago, very concerned about my ability to work with black fabric as a background. I got lots of good suggestions from quilters, and I thank you all a lot!

I currently have 36 cat blocks done, and I am about to bravely add black sashing. But, before I do that, how does this arrangement look? You will have to visualize the black sashing, but it will end up being one inch wide.

The colors are much brighter than they appear in the picture. But, do you see anything you would move?

Thanks for any opinions.

Dina

I like it! I think the colors are appropriately placed...wouldn't move a thing.

Oh I love it!! I've never seen that pattern until you showed it last post. It's precious!!! Good job!

I think I would like it with white sashing - even though the white is just "spacing" right now.

Is that pattern by Janet Kime? I think I have a book with a similar pattern. Is it difficult to do?

I think they look great. Don't change anything. I'm so glad you kept going. It is going to be terrific.

Oh, that's come along nicely! The only thing I would change would be the bottom row the dark purple cat on the left edge. I'd switch it with the pink one next to it. The dark one might not give enough delineation to the edge of the quilt, making the eye focus on that area. But what do I know? It would work either way. It's impressive that youhung with this, even though it had it's difficult parts. Nice!
