I have generally had good luck. I have purchased inexpensive, blocks, tops and a few quilts on ebay. I have learned from my experiences of what questions to ask but they have been covered here. Check feedback of the seller. I also check what other type of items they have experience selling. If it is not textile like items I tend to ask more questions because that type of information is not included in the description.

My only addition would be to assume any stains are permanent. While some may come out, others are in to stay, so don't buy anything you can't live with or work with.

I have purchased several vintage quilts on Ebay and also vintage quilt tops. When I first received my longarm I bought a few quilt tops for 35.00 that were great to practice on. I have never had a problem with any of the sales. As Marsye stated..read the feedbacks. It is very addicting to look at all the choices. Happy hunting
