Default A push from the Feathered Nest

I usually only make small quilts(45" x 42"). I attended a retreat with Donna Slater at the Feathered Nest this weekend. We used her pattern, SCRAPPLES, lots of sewing and trading fabrics. All five people completed a twin size top. The retreat was really a push for me, both in quilt size and the fabrics used.

It's great to learn to step out of your comfort zone with quilting. I set a goal every year to learn something new. It's fun. Congratulations to you!

I mostly make quilts twin and double size. I'm most comfortable quilting them on my 9" throat machine. I need to make smaller ones but I end up making them bigger. Now you know you can make twin size.
