I just finished one yesterday that I was procrastinating over for about six months. It's done!

Take it from me. There are plenty of quilts out there waiting to try your patience. I call them 'quilts from he^^.

Sometimes I do them during Lent for penance.

Maybe it's psychological. You're making all these mistakes because you hate the fabric and don't really want to work with it. Only half kidding in that I know I'd be capable of subconsciously doing such things.

Try admitting you don't like it, don't want to do it, but do it anyway. I've read your other posts so know you're disciplined (I'm somewhat like you describe yourself so understand). Perhaps it's just a matter of slowing down, and deliberately plowing ahead until it's done.

Whatever it is, I wish you luck! And show us some pics, why don't you? Maybe we can talk you out of thinking that jelly roll is as ugly as you think it is!

I'll show you mine. It's just awful. I did not get one quarter inch seam in the whole thing. Nothing lined up, the seams did not nest. The pattern is from Laundry Basket Quilts and is really cute, but confusing at the same time. I all him the pixilated giraffe. And yes, he was not supposed to have knobby knees. I haven't trimmed anything off the sides. He needs to be blocked, but I do not know how to do that? I have a border cut, but would like to block it first.

Yes, I have dated "Jack the Ripper" on this project, but it just doesn't seem to help. What can I do???

I see that it is out of focus. I can't even hold the camera. He is just so puckery. Will that quilt out?

He doesn't look awful. He's cute. I think the knobby knees are appropriate; have you ever looked at a giraffe's knees? They look knobby! I can't see how you actually put this together; it's not applique. So you apparently sewed a lot of white squares together.....I call that patience!

Persevere! I think your giraffe is adorable, and can't wait to see him with a border around him.
