Just for the record - I would not refuse FQ - if smaller pieces are offered, I take them!

But when buying, 3/8 yard is my preferred minimum.

Yes, larger than FQ cuts would attract me!

This sounds like a good idea. Thanks, everyone, for your help. I still am not sure what I am going to do, but I do have some time yet. Our Quilt Show is in October.

I would love to bid on bigger pieces. I might colour coordinate about 10 and fold them up to resemble books put a ribbon around them and call it a bookcase of 1 or 1/2 yards pieces.

How about a yard of solid then smaller cuts? That way you would have background and/or sashing to go with the others.

I like the 1/2 yard cuts as I often need the extra width.

You requested fat quarters or yardage to be cut up into fats. I would stick with the plan this time around. Check with your group about it at the next raffle ahead of time. Jmho

I'm not a fan of fat quarters and would be more likely to be attracted to the basket with wof pieces. I have quite a few fat quarters but never use them--afraid I won't have enough for a project and then I'd be stuck.

I like the idea of mixing them. I would definitely take a chance on a basket!
