Should be used to make this pattern?

    I know you need 18 5 X 11 and 24 5 x 19 1/2 and 72 5" squares - but how many colors total should I use?

I think its totally personal taste, but if I were going to make it, I would probably start with at last 10 different fabrics. The more fabrics you use, the scrappier it will look, so it kinda of depends on what you're going for.

    Can't wait to see pictures.

I see several different colors there. I think it's up to you to decide. Are you going to use solids or prints or both?

I would get into my scrap basket and use from there. You could use up a lot of scraps that way.

Florals and some solids could look cool. My reality is scrappy, so I am trying to think outside my usual box!

I have a problem with that box as well, that's why I have a stash of fabric and still can't find any pattern to make
