I am looking for quilt patterns using quilt BOM. I've tried to search for patterns to purchase, but I like unique patterns. Do any of you wonderful quilts have ideas/suggestions/pictures of quilts make using BOM? I've got numerous years to put together and I don't care for the patterns they gave us. Is there a book out there that has a lot of them? Any input is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what you're asking. BOM usually means Block of the Month, so have you finished a number of blocks and are looking for a setting for those blocks? If so, it would help if we could see the blocks you have done. There are probably thousands of different BOM's going at any given time, and they can be very different, from applique to paper piecing to traditional piecing...

Why not do a sampler. I have some not so great looking blocks and am going to make a sampler out of them.

There are at least 2 free BOMs on Craftsy.com. Videos that you have forever and can watch over and over, like I have to do. I've made each one, and also 1 or 2 which I paid for, and liked all of them.

One of these days I plan to start my "Christmas Quilt Block of the Month". It took me a couple of years to find the complete notebook, but it's a gorgeous quilt and worth the wait.

I love doing BOM's, if you have never done one, I would give one a try. Just about every Quilt Shop has them. I have done several and never had any problems, always plenty of fabrics and clear and concise directions.

It would probably help if you included some photos. There are all sorts of Block of the Month patterns & it's hard to give advice without knowing what kind of BOM's you pieced. If they are coordinating colors in traditional blocks, then you could easily just add a 2" strip of sashing between them & make the quilt as large as you like, then add another 2-4" border around the entire thing & bind.

If you have a number of coordinating blocks that are similar, you might look at this example of a JAF setting kit:

(of course, the fabrics in that kit only match the 2015 JAF BOM's, but it might give you an idea)

I re-read your post this morning (after coffee) and I'm now wondering if you are looking for ideas on how to set the blocks you've made when you participated in various series of BOMs. There's a wonderful book "Setting Solutions" by Sharyn Craig. The book has dozens of ideas for setting sampler blocks, blocks from swaps, BOMs etc. She has ideas for working with blocks that didn't come out all the same size, coordinating colors etc. You can get a used copy from Amazon pretty inexpensively.
