    When I did the Boomerang swap, I used some wovens/homespuns and found that they had a much higher rate of shrinkage. Other than that, why not mix? They add nice texture and pattern.

    I mixed homespun, flannel and regular quilting cotton in a baby quilt to add a lot of texture. I just prewashed everything first.
