When they say you can't take it with you, they didn't know my ex-neighbor. She was a quilter, died of breast cancer at 33 yrs, and she quilted her own coffin insert and pillow for her head. Now she may not have actually been able to take that to heaven, but she took it as far as she could.
She died just after we moved here and I did not personnally know her so I did not get to go to the funeral. However, everyone said it was the prettiest coffin insert they had ever seen. Wow.

Only one thing: I want to be mentally and physically able to continue making quilts right up to the time I draw my last breath. God willing, I do not want to be alive, wishing I could make quilts, but unable to do so. Of course, if I "lose all my marbles", maybe I just won't care any more; maybe I won't even know what a quilt is or who I am.

Before I go to Quilt Heaven I want to--

*teach my grandbaby (s) to quilt :XD:

*make lots and lots more quilty creations

*see all three of my children have financial stability. Own their homes.

*Help some ppl along the way if I can

*Be grateful for where I am and what I have

*dance nekkid in the moonlight with green shamrocks at least one more time

*make sure I live each day letting ppl know I love them, and letting them love me...want to leave a 'loving' memory, that has made a positive difference :-D

You've already accomplished some of that Mousie!

I would be OK leaving this world with many UFO's for someone else to finish.

Having my own long arm machine would be a dream come true. Of course I would have to retire in order to have the time to use one! :D

Before I go...

I want to figure out how to take my stash and my sewing machines with me. I assume I will have more time there than I do now and can spend my days quilting. If I can't, it definitely won't be heavenly!

I would like to meet a lot of people on this forum.
Make something where I wouldn't have to rip out or start over. LOL
Not go to quilt heaven.
