I am thinking about making my I Spy quilts into quillows and maybe tying them.....what do you think? These are for 2, 3 5 and 6 year olds. What size should I make them, I am using 6 1/2" squares. Thanks for your input.

Sissy, just Google "free quillow pattern", and you'll get quite a few patterns that will suggest sizes so you can adapt your squares accordingly. I've made these before, and kids always LOVE them!

My Mom made one for my grandson I hated the fabirc it was black with candy corn on it on both sides, She gifted it to him with a package of candy corn and he loves it calls it his candy blanket and his "Great Grandma made it for him" She also made a valance for his bedroom. It is almost twin size.

I made quillows after watching Eleanor Burns show several years ago. The quilt was turned inside out, then the pillow was stitched down and then tied the quilt. Her dimensions were 16" square pillow and the quilt was the size of a twin.

The ones I have made are 40x54....have made them even longer for older kids. They are always loved, and one of the best features is that the kids love to put their feet in the pocket to keep them warm!
