I have basted three quilts with this method and don't know why I didn't know of it before. My daughter and grand daughter had been pin basting them on the floor for me, as I am unable to do that. Baby quilts I could do on the dr table. I love the new method and have boards in two sizes. Good luck with your basting ;o)

I like the idea of rolling the fabric on the boards but I am not much for hand basting. I am thinking this would work for pinning it too.

good morning. I am using this system of Sharon's and I love it. I have fibromyalgia plus arthritis so I can't get on the floor to baste and I find that using pins take just as much time and my fingers get very sore. So I love this way and I also get to sit while basting. sure makes it easier on this hurting body.

I'm anxious to give this method a try! I've been dreading the basting portion since every time I've spread my quilt top on the floor, my boxer comes and flops down on it!

Do you use the 'finished" boards as she recommended, or do just plain old cut boards work ok?

I didn't finish my boards and they work fine. Hubs did sand off a feww rough spots for me.
