I have the Quilt Cut 2. I have a question. I can never get my metal guide exactly in the same spot against the fabric after making a cut. My strips never come out the exact same size. Just a smidgen but enough to make a difference when cutting a lot. How do you get the guide to be in the exact same spot? The system is excellent quality but I was spending too much time trying to get the guide in the same exact spot after each cut. I use the Go now.

Based on the instructions in the book, it shows the metal guide on the edge at the base of the fabric, on the video, its towards the top. I think it probably is more accurate the way it shows in the book, but I'm still playing with it so I can't really say. The pieces I have cut seem fine, I measured them and they all seem accurate

At the vendor booth I asked the demo person to show me how she lined up the guide each time. She demos so fast she doesn't really take the time to do it exact. She said to be sure the fabric is always at the same side of the mat measuring line and then line up the guide. I have to fuss to much with it for it to be a time saver for precise cuts. It must a problem just for me because so many love the system.

It is a big time saver when cutting lots of small squares or triangles, if I can cut 40 small squares at one go, thats worth it to me. I think it just takes practice.

I used mine today to cut fabric for a quilt. This is the 3rd quilt I have done since I bought it. My cutting has never been as accurate. I hated the cutting part of quilting before. I now enjoy it.
It has changed cutting for me drastically. I looked forward to cutting fabric this morning. For me that is huge.
