Oh- I never thought of that, but I think I could do that. You mentioned 'mark on them or cut to make a registration". Can you show me what you mean about that. Just want to be sure I do that right. Wondering if there is a YouTube video on this. Will go look for one now. Thanks for the idea!!!!

Favorite is the plastic lids as i can mark on them or cut to make a registration or other mark to line it up.

Lovely quilt you have made.

What size are you blocks? The packaging for your batting should have listed how far apart you quilting shoud be. That said I would just do SID on the 2 color blocks and a "x" in the other blocks. The solid blocks have a nice pattern in them that it would be a shame to lose it with fancy quilting.

Beautiful quilt.

May I suggest a stitch in the ditch just to anchor the blocks first then do some of the suggestions on quilting designs that the others have shown. This was a suggestion I heard about over at Craftsy. I believe it was Ann Peterson.

Love the quilt. What pattern did you use?

Julie: your quilt is beautiful. I'd love to see another picture after your quilting is done!

Default Finished quilt pics

Here is the finished quilt. I SITD around the blocks and FMQd "Happy Birthday Susan" on the upper boarder with leaves along the sides and at the bottom. Each of the lime green squares had a leaf in it also. One lesson learned: Start the SITD in the middle and work my way out and create a 4 square grid to avoid bunching. She liked the quilt I think. I haven't heard from her since I gave it to her on 6/15. - Stitch124
