Looking to purchase the Janome Quiltmaker Pro 18 machine. Does anyone know the actual measurements this machine will require? Looking for the floor space needed in the room
Dealers have only given me an 'about' - 14 feet by 6', but is this what it takes up and additional space is needed to move around the machine or does this measurement include that?
Thanks

It's a rebadged HandiQuilter Avante. You might look to see what HQ advises for the Studio2 frame, if that's what Janome puts it on.
FYI HQ has discontinued the Avante. They now produce the Amara instead - different tension mechanism, different electronics. You might want to consider that option. I have one on a 10' frame if you need any measurements.

BTW, looking at Janome's website, the frame shown with the Quiltmaker Pro is somewhat like the older style Studio frame, not the newer Studio2 that has the dual-load feature (where you can load in either standard or clear view orientation). It appears to be permanently in the clear view orientation.
