I haven't been to an organized quilting retreat. I have been to organized quilting retreats at this beautiful place in Rockport, Texas called "The Retreat House". This weekend I am going there for their "spontaneity days". My good luck is that there will be quilters there also. There are always private quilting retreats happening at The Retreat House. I would love to organize a quilting retreat for those who are willing to travel to Rockport.

Do any of you want to come to Alaska? It's gorgeous in the summer and I'd try to put something together here. If nothing else you could camp on my lawn in tents and dip your toes in the lake! haha What fun it would be and I'd love to have you. We do have 2-3 guilds here I know I could find some space somewhere for a group.

I'm going to have to do some searching for my region of the country.
Check church retreat/camps in your area. Most will have rv/camper sites with water & electric.

Wow! I would really like to attend a retreat if it were held within my driving distance.

Maybe somewhere in the KS/MO/OK area - a central place.

Sounds like a possiblity. I live in Central Shenandoah Valley not far from the WV border. Not available in Sept. when I take care of my mother so my sister can go on her quilt retreat.
PM me if any decisions are made.

I love retreats, and would go to any that aren't clear across the country.

I'm in! I have been on their emailing list for a long time but haven't ever been to anything there. Looks great--glad to hear it is from someone who's been there. When you go to the spontaneity days, do you just go alone take your chances on other quilters attending?

I would love to, but you would have to do a week-long retreat:)
Have only been to towns along the Inside Passage--spent a week traveling the Marine Hwy system ferries and itty-bitty planes. I would love to see your area of the state.
