I don't think you will get bored. A group of my friends go to at least 2 retreats a year. For 2 years I have taked a zig zag puzzle that is a quilting theme. This year I am taking quiltopoly. Plus we do a lot of talking, reading, and of course eating.

It sure sounds like you're going to have a wonderful time! I have never been on a quilting retreat but hope to go some day. I live in Central Florida.

How long will you be gone? I also like the Elm Creek stories and wish I could go there. :D Our quilt club has a 2 day retreat at a local camp. We bring food, sewing machines, etc, etc, and fabric for a mystery quilt. We are given the basic cuts to do before we go and then envelopes with further instructions. It is a lot of fun, and much lower budget than most retreats. We can elect to sleep over or go for the day. Ours is this month.

    ..............SKEAT

What a great idea..I will be looking forward to the thread when you send it in......

Quilting Retreats ...give the old 5 W's

    What ?.........quilting retreat, of course
Where ?.........the responses will tell us
When ?..........again, we will hear from the responses
Who ?..........who's going or giving the retreat
WHY....?.........to quilt, of course, but also to gab, to meet new friends,
to laugh some and perhaps to cry some upon leaving.

Let's get this rolling......should be an interesting thread........

    it should get great responses..........[b]
