I have this machine, and I have no trouble quilting on it. I quilt in sections, and roll and adjust as I go. The last quilt was a Lone Star, 60 X 80, and I had no trouble working in sections.

Thank you for your reply. It’s helpful to know that others are successful using the same sewing machine. Did you use the walking foot attachment?

JakRabbit ... your quilt is absolutely adorable!
What a treasure for that first grandbaby to enjoy for a long time.

Using a walking foot is always the best option, when machine quilting. Again, I don't know your machine, but this is pretty much a generic statement in the world of machine quilting. It will help to feed the layers all together and you'll have less bunching and scrunching.

Buttttttt .... being a hand quilter, are you sure you really want to do this on a machine???
It would make this quilt even more of a treasure.

Can't wait to see your PP raccoons too!

I agree hand quilting would make it special. I thought I had until the end of the month, but he came early. That’s what prompted me to think about using a machine.

The important part is that he is here and hopefully, is well too.

Hello, I'm working on my first quilt and this machine is new to me as well. I got through the whole thing pretty smoothly, but I'm having trouble with the binding. It seems it's too thick for the machine to sew through even after switching out the needle to a 100/16. We're you able to bind with this machine and, if so, do you have any tips? Thank you!!
