Any quilt stores in the Costa Mesa/Newport Beach area of California? I'll be there for one day (on a Sunday). I googled quilt/fabric stores and came up with only an upholstery store and JoAnns.

Thanks!

Here is one in Tustin, It's probably a good 20 min. drive from Newport. If I can think of any others I will post.

I was out in the same area for a month last November and came up empty myself. Really depressing.

Flying Geese Quilt Guild. I live in north OC and have gone to one of their quilt shows. I think it was at Soka U in Alisa Viejo a few years ago. You can google the guild.

Have I got a great find for you ladies: There is a place called Jenny's Fabrics - they are in Fountain Valley, which is close to Costa Mesa - here's their website for contact and location info: http://jennysfabricsdiscountstore.com

What I love about this store is that they have flat folds at the back, oftentimes some of the same fabrics they have on bolts, but the flat folds were like $5/yard in 2011, the last time I was there, and the bolted fabrics were about twice that amount.

If you are able to go downtown Los Angeles, in the rag district, you can find lots of places there as well - I highly recommend that field trip!

Happy Hunting!

There is nothing in the area I am sorry to say. Get a map out and see if any of these stores are going to be within driving range. I lived in the Anaheim area so I am familiar with some of these stores:

Flying Geese Fabrics
307 El Camino Real
Tustin close to 55 frwy & 5 frwy

Orange Quilt Bee
628 E Katella Ave
Orange Exit off @ Katella from 55 frwy

The Quilt Cupboard
11891 Valley View Street
Garden Grove Near the 405 & 22 frwy

Can't say come out and enjoy the weather since you live in AZ. Just have fun.
