Fun and Done is one method. Here's the way it is done. https://www.google.com/search?q=batt...hrome&ie=UTF-8 You don't need the batting buddy to do it. Just cut your backing 2" larger square than your front and batting pieces.

I learned QAYG from Georgia Bonesteel, many years ago. Haven't heard much about her in the following years, but she had several books published with patterns, instructions, tips, etc.
