Here's a potholder tutorial I made a couple of years ago. They have two layers of Insul-bright and 4 layers of cotton fabric. They work better than any storebought potholder I've ever had!

Your potholders look great. I'm sorry they ddn't work out for you. And, thank you for asking your question because I will be making some for Christmas and thanks to you, I be wasting my $$$ on ironing board fabric.

Thanks for all the good ideas. I make pot holders for craft shows and I usually use 2 layers of insul-brite. You've given me some ideas of ways to cut back on the insul-brite.
