I recently went to a flea market where a woman was selling these jackets. They were quilted in a fan style pattern using a print with black strips between. She gave me the pattern but can't make heads or tails of it. I wish I had taken a pic of them. Has anyone seen anything like this?

Our very own Uglycook has a tutorial in that section of this board. Not with a fan, but it may give you enough information to make some sense of the pattern you were given.
My question is---why would the woman give you the pattern if she was making and selling them? Wouldn't that be bad for her business?

Thats what I thought. I'm beginning to think she gave the pattern out knowing it couldn't be followed.
