I have read several messages where people have mentioned wishing there were more words to use to describe the products we create. Maybe we could brainstorm and come up with a list that is unique to quilting. I am not above making up new words to use, because the usual sometimes just don't do justice. What do you think? Am I offbase, or the only one? :?:

Beautimus! (according to a particular 6-year old it means enormously beautiful)

Oh, and the foot pedal suggestions worked. Sarah was able to sew a straight 1/4" seam four times on a 3 foot long piece of fabric. She had to do that before she could start her quilt - as a result, she put her first two blocks together. Did a pretty good job. And was VERY excited. Thanks, folks!

One of my grandsons described the quilt I made for him as Gi-normous! It seemed to fit when I saw him all swallowed up in it.

:-) I love the words I've read so far. I will have to write them down so I can use them. Thanks to all of you for reassuring me that I am not crazy (although it's high stakes testing time and I'm in charge of making sure all the students with special needs get tested correctly and it's giving me a headache)!. I'd much rather be making something prettiful or creatious! :P
