My question is: "How do I get something posted on the Message Board"? I have tried several times, but it never appears.

Email ADM and mention that you would like a Topic like this. I emailed them and suggested a topic titled "Tips" and was told that they tried that before but other things got posted in that area. But it is always worth a try. Sometimes it is hard to get all suggestions due to they are "lost " in the discussion. You could always search for topics.

Olgaflowers.....go ahead and ask, that's what we are here for. This is my extended family and everyone is so helpful. You don't need to feel like a stranger and no question is stupid. So ask away and you will get plenty of replies. Happy quilting.

If you post it on a site for "dummies", who will be able to give you a good answer? LOL! We're all dumb about something. Ask away!

If you post it on a site just for "dummies", who will be able to give you a good answer? LOL! We're all dumb about something. Ask away!

Sometimes it takes a while to know WHAT to ask.

Or how to word the question.

Yes, some of the topics do turn up over and over and over again.

I have decided that the topic is "new" to the person asking it.

I've also decided that the Search feature is more helpful to the people that are familiar with this forum.

There are some questions that most of the responses are similar.

There are other questions that have divergent responses (The "to wash or not wash fabric before cutting" question is an example of that.)

"Main" is the best place to ask a quilting related question.

After a while, you will learn what works better for you.

You're never too old to learn & the experts likes to hear questions. I learned a lot from this forum and still have a long way to go.
