The Big Look is a magnifier that goes on your machine (http://www.thebiglook.co/Home_Page.html).

Have all of above, I guess, and use them....the only one that I questioned was the gypsy cutting gizmo, so I looked it up and YES, I have that too! Didn't know it's name (was a gift), but it does it's job well...now I have a gypsy in my sewing room!

I couldn't do FMQ without quilting gloves! I've had Machingers, homemade ones out of grippy shelf liner & Fons & Porter ones. I like the F & P ones the best.

My stiletto. I don't just use it for piecing. I also love it at the iron to keep my fingers from getting burned while pressing seams open (like the hundreds of small wedges I just made).
My newest favorite gadget is my batting scissors. Didn't know how much I needed them until I bought them. The handle is curved up from the blades and the tips are blunt. Can cut that batting so easily without getting the scissors caught in it.

Speaking of gadgets..yesterday while on a Bernina website the lady was using a roller (think wallpaper seam roller) to flatten seams while paper piecing so as to avoid going back and forth to the iron. Unlike the wallpaper seam roller, it had rounded edges so it wouldn't mark the fabric. Does anyone use this? It seems we are over run with gadgets.

I like gizmos! I'm always picking up something new to try it out. If I don't like it, I eventually pass it along to someone else. I have four friends who are my "students" that come over to learn quilting - I have offloaded a lot of duplicate and unused tools/gizmos on them!

Then for Christmas I put together goodie bags for each of them with some of my favorite little tools:

Purple Thang
Clover clips
Dritz purple measuring tape (I love it because it starts at 1 on each end, so you're always on the right end)
Blue water-erase pen
Tailor's chalk in red, white & blue
Little purple snip scissors from Connecting Threads (I LOVE those scissors)

When someone asks me why I need all the new gadgets to make a quilt I say no one needs anything but the basics to make a great quilt but I don't want to quilt like I was living in the 30's.
