Embroidery library has a lot of neat quilt designs and I love them. I just finished quilt for my GD using them and she loves it. I haven't taken the time to be very good at FMQ so this is a good alternative for me.

Embroidery Library??? Help. Never heard of. I'm in the same boat as you, not too good on free MQ. So the sewing machine has to do. For now.

www.emblibrary.com. Beautiful designs, great prices, lots of sales and free designs every month. I spend almost as much time there as I do here.

yes you can, those were probably quilting motif designs before they were embroidery designs. I believe the sewing machine mis name these designs. They are quilting and not embroidery.

Oh my goodness, I checked out this sight and they had a bunch of freebees. I down loaded them and tomorrow I will have time to see how they turn out.

ooooooh yeeesss!! I love Embroidery Library! I have bought more than 300 designs from them over the past several years and have had really good success with their designs. I have not tried their quilting designs but I plan now to try them as I am not experienced in FMQ yet. I have to admit I am addicted to their site. Thank goodness they have the sales. Sometimes 10 designs for $10.00. I love those sales. I save what i want in my wish list then when they have these sales I buy the expensive designs. Last night I just bought, I think 12 designs with a birthday certificate they sent me for 50% off. That was a nice deal. I bought some nice Christmas designs and designs for my grand daughters. The quilt I am working on now has horses embroidered on my blocks. Anyway, thanks for the idea of using the quilting embroidery designs. I will try this soon.

Yes, I also do this with my quilts. My Pfaff 7570 actually has the cards you insert into your machine and you can pick out any motif you desire to use. You can also download these patterns from emlibrary or other places and do the same thing. Depending on your quilt or tablerunner, etc., you can really jazz it up with those lovely motifs.
