Quilting Withdrawal!!!
Oh my, Holiday blues have hit me. I am tired of shopping, wrapping, packing, decorating, still have to send out Christmas cards to my business friends (I will do that this week LOL), Christmas cards to friends and relatives may take til next year. Tired of all the sale papers, tired of all the ads on TV. I haven't had time to quilt this week, and I need to!!! I sat down at a local fabric store with a new friend today who was putting together the most wonderful fan quilt set on point, and I found myself fondling her fans. I don't know why I put quilting off these past few days, but today taking a break to visit and have lunch made me realize that I need the peace that quilting gives me. So to all, my baking will be minimal this year, my shopping is over, I am giving myself a gift, I will be sewing and quilting, and dreaming and designing. My fingers are itching just at the thought!!! Merry Christmas to all, let the sewing machines huMMMMMMMM.

I'm worn out from all the quilting and sewing that I am doing making gifts for others. I don't want to ever see another Grinch fabric again! I have a week off after Christmas and I am actually going to start (and hopefully finish) a quilt for ME! Yes, I said it: ME! That is making all of this stress worth it!

Good for you...I will be sewing and quilting all the way to Christmas eve.....I'm going on a week vacation 12/29/11 thru 01/07/12 and already worried about going thru withdrawal while gone.....don't know what I'll do !!!!!

Me too. This week I've been focusing hard on Christmas - cards, presents, tree. It's been hard work, but the end is in sight! I've promised myself some quilting next week and over the holiday as my reward.
