I like the first one. It would leave the quilt softer and enhance the design motifs. I am usually of the mind that too much quilting makes that the star, and I prefer to have the fabrics and pattern stand out.

I love feathers, so #2 would be my choice.

IMH Personal Opinion - on this quilt, Less is More. Love the design and the colors. Too much quilting can be distracting.
