I don't know. The first thing she does with all of her stuffed animals is chew the eyes out. I think it's because they are hard plastic.
I have one dog that disables the squeakers and another that chews the ears off and their toys. The other 2 just carry them around.

I lmao off reading this ( tawny is adorable)... I have been thinking for weeks about how to make toys for my Copper that would actually be durable(he wants nothing to do with ropes etc - adores his stuffed animals).
I have even bought him the supposedly "indestructible" Kong(sp)brand. Those lasted a full week lmao..And It's almost impossible to find a toy without a friggin squeaker- which is like catnip to him and to many others it seems lol...
I know he wouldn't care if the toy is cute, had eyes or not..As long as its squishy soft..
So I'm thinking a basic ginger bread man pattern might work, maybe made of fleece?, double stitching?...Anyone else have any good ideas?

WILL WORK FOR TOYS..:: placing a paw over the lil ones missing eye::

Our little shiba inu loves his toys with the squeaker. He doesn't chew them up but when he is ready for attention gets his squeaker toy and stands at your chair and starts squeaking...the longer you ignore him the faster he squeaks. Sooo cute!!!

AWWWW How precious! I also had to sew up stuffed animals for our mini Schnauzer before she passed at 13 yrs old. They are so worth the time we put into these furkids! They really give us back so much! Your furkid is beautiful. And well loved!

No, she isn't allowed to be near my machine when it is on. One time she tried to grab the needle as I was sewing. I can't afford that vet bill!

Who could ignore eyes like that? Furry people don't even have to talk. They just stare you down. The first think to go in our baby's pets were the squeekers! Even if they were guaranteed not to come out. HA!

    Your baby is adorable!

I tend to do the same thing. I make sqeaky toys that get the squeek chewed out of them in 2.5 seconds. I just pick up the stuffing and put it back in add a new sqeak and wait to do it again. I bought a bag of squeakers somewhere on the net. The funny part was Odie the Pug found my stash one day and hid about 20 of them all over the house. He thought he was something! =)
