I made a demin quilt for my grandson for Christmas. I backed it with fannel but didn't put any batting in it. It was quite heavy but he loves it and I put pockets on it where he puts his small cars. Demin quilts are fun.

I am getting ready to make one for my 23 year old grandson, he is 6'5" so it will have to be big. Will back with flannel squares, and make it a rag quilt. Have been saving denim for a while and think I have enough now. Can't wait to get started

I just got really lucky a few days ago.. Bought a huge bag of already cut into 6" blocks both denim and plaid flannel for only $5.50... Plan on using it for a quilt for son.

Think I'd like the patches set "on point"... Have any of you tried that yet?

I made a denim & corduroy & twill 9 patch (some were even the print denim!!!) back about 1990 with batting & a print quilting cotton back, then tied. My 14 year old son loves it on his bed ( & has used it since he was about 3) & when some of the seams start to come apart (from LOTS of washing) I just zig-zag it back together & he's happy again! If I think of it when I get home I'll post a picture of it!

When my Dad died I made rag quilts out of his jeans for my sisters, brother & myself. I used flannel & homespun too. This is mine

That is another one in my avatar that my cat is testing out!

i've started to cut out circles in denim for one of those cathedral windows, but i'm not sure when i will have time to work on it further. i used shirts purchased at a bag sale at a local church & clothes from local thrifts as well...

Thanks for sharing pictures. Love what you ladies have done with jeans. I'm saving them, but don't have enough yet for quilts.
