Default Request for info - Pfaff 1245 - industrial machine

Hello folks - looking for some info here - I have a friend who is looking to purchase a used Pfaff 1245 (industrial machine) - it's about 20 years old and the seller is asking $1000.
Pfaff has a good reputation overall, but is this particular model a good one? I suggested they should ensure they can get needles and bobbins readily, and inquire about replacement parts. I also suggested they do a "test drive" to ensure it will handle the upholstery they are planning to use this for.
Any other thoughts or ideas to pass along to them would be welcome!
    Thanks,
    GEMRM

I found this info, but looks like it is for a newer version (not 20 years old):

The older machines were still made in Europe and work very well. YES, I agree, "Test drive it" first

Thanks for the responses, the most recent update from my friend is that the machine is serviced regularly, the owner is giving them orientation/test run on it, and it comes with lots of bobbins and stuff. They will be going on Thursday to look at it more closely and try it out.
