Default Rest of the story... Burgoyne Surrounded gift

While we were in the states in May I took my Scrappy burgoyne surrounded quilt and we gave it to the couple that was/are in Newton, KS.

http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...y-t219008.html

It was a total surprise to the couple they were completely "blown away" by it.

The funny thing was, on Sunday night when were there (we were at a church--the recipients were the retired pastor and his wife of this church), I had 3 older ladies come up to me..."We'd like to order king sized quilts as well," they said.

I just laughed.

I enjoyed giving it away--they were very, very appreciative--truly "quilt worthy" as we here on QB love to call appreciative recipients.

I'm sure they loved it because it was a fabulous quilt! I hope you had a wonderful trip.

Oh yeah, like you want to make three more of those! Beautiful quilt but once would be more than enough for me.

I was able to use up so many 1.5" strips that I might actually consider it at some time in the future.

Thanks for the update. This is such a beautiful quilt-so are you in the quilt making "business" now? Those dear ladies may not realize how long it takes to collect all those pieces, let alone sew 3 more together.

Well, who could blame them? That is a lovely quilt.
