    Hello Beachbound-

What size block for the pantry/jar block? I have never made that block, but think it would be fun to do!

Thank you all for your good wishes, prayers, and encouragement!
I will keep you all updated.

Right now we are looking at Long Arms. We have one picked out. After 'test driving' several at the show in Knoxville, and dealing with the different reps we know which one we want to get. With ALL the bells and whistles! I just need customers that are local or that will send me quilts to do. I need about 5 - 10 a month depending on size of the quilt.
DH is even excited about working the Long Arm. He was as much into them as I was!!!

And now --- back to the business plan and more details to get the store going. And I have to get to work today.

Have a great day and keep those prayers and good thoughts. God is opening the way more and more. I also know that HE could just as easily say NO at any time.

    Later ----
    Phyllis

Phylliss: I think that is perfect and we will certainly be praying that God will work your dream out. You already have taken the first step by putting Him first.

    Phyllis,
I love your idea! I have a similar dream, but I'm only playing with it now. I dream of a quilt show and bakery in one. I know it isn't a good idea to mix food and fabric, but I have a love for both!!!

We used to have a lovely quilt shop called Patchwork and Pies. One corner was set with tables covered with quilted tablecloths. One could buy a piece of pie, a cookie, coffee, tea, etc. Husbands and kids enjoyed the treats while mom did the shopping to her heart's content. It was perfect so it is possible.

I love your name of your shop! The logo is so cool.

Have you thought of a picture yet for the logo???

Good luck on your new shop!

    I now have a business - name, ID,and license.

    The name is:
    Quilter's Pantry

I DO NOT have a store yet, nor a web site going. We are still working out all the details.

Thank you for all your help, thoughts, prayers and encouragement.

I will let you know later who the 'winner' of the name idea was, if they want to be known.

I'm working on the picture logo. Will be working with my web person to fit the business logo so it works on cards as well as on the web.
