    Default Ricky tims

Does anyone know which quilting magazine had an article on Ricky's giraffe quilt? a lady who was visiting my quilt club had made a bag and a lap quilt with this pattern. I know I saw it in a magazine but can't remember which one. she took a class with him on this pattern. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Are you sure it was Ricky Tims? I know there are giraffes done by Charley Harper, Laura Heine, Barb Cey, Nancy Chong... Laura Heine was at my guild recently and taught a class.

If I am looking for a pattern, I usually go looking at Google Images:

After Googling, I didn't see anything that connected Ricky Tims with giraffes. Hopefully someone on the board will have some helpful input.

I don't think it was Ricky Tims. I'll help you look.

He has a facebook page and is active with posts. If he has the pattern you can find out there:

    ttps://www.facebook.com/RickyTims

He had his own magazine with Alex Anderson at one time, The Quilt Life. It could have been a pattern in one of those issues.

Jamie Wallen has a wonderful giraffe quilt. He sells the pattern on his website, Quilter's Apothecary. He does workshops, so it might be him.

Edit: I found this website that talks about a tv show done by Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson, and the guest was Jamie Wallen. It has a photo of his giraffe quilt:

Edit 2: There is at an article by Jamie Wallen in Machine Quilting Unlimited magazine July, 2011 with the title Flurry Feathers.

Is there a book that shows you how to make these collage animals?

Thanks to everyone who answered. I just talked to another lady in my guild and she said that she understood that it was a paper pieced pattern. I do know it was in a magazine in the last year or so. Maybe it isn't Ricky Tims but if any one knows about a pattern that was in a magazine and was paper pieced, let me know. I will keep looking. It wasn't on the google about his patterns. thanks again

Violet Craft has a paper pieced giraffe. I think it's a pretty new pattern. http://www.violetcraft.com/pdf/giraf...lt-pattern-pdf
