My thrift store buys this weekend didn't go so well for me... whoever is packing fabric into bags knows what to do to get me to buy! There were multiple bags, I picked two and got basically the same thing in both bags for $4.99 each. There was a nice multi-yard piece of quilting fabric (happens both were from In the Beginning) that was worth the price. A fabric that was probably a blend (and turned out it was), and a piece that looked good but turned out was too thick for quilting, more of a pants weight -- maybe kettle cloth of some sort?? Oh well, the blends and the too thick pieces have been put in the "re-donate" bag, filling that up. So next time I go, I will be returning the non-quilting suitable fabrics.

Not complaining too much, some weeks go better than others. Last couple of weeks I've gotten some lovely large yardage (4-6 yards) pieces of civil war type fabrics, Judie Rothermel and Moda in particular.

ptquilts ~ Great score! I just hope it wasn't someone's DH who took the wrong bag as mine has done in the past. LOL I lost a collection of batik fat quarters that way. When we went back later to try to reclaim them … no sign of them!

Doing the happy dance, are you? It's so much fun to find fabric at cut rate prices. Our Goodwill does not get very much fabric scraps. The ARC Thrift store gets older VIP and Wal Mart fabric and prices are higher than I want to pay. I'm always on the search for quilt stuff at garage sales. I'm always on the hunt.
