I purchased several pieces of solid fabric, washed and dried. Now that I am putting away, I can't tell on two of them which side is right or wrong. Is there a way to tell from the selvage?

Sounds like there is no print on the selvage, right??
If not, and you can't tell I would think it doesn't matter which side you use.
Maybe the others can shed more light on this :)

this is why I don't like to use solids. Makes me crazy trying to figure out which side to use!

Fold the fabric so you can see portions both sides up against each other. The right side is usually brighter or more defined. If you still can't tell, then it won't matter.

You have paid for both sides, so use them. If you can't tell it really doesn't matter.

ROFL! That's what I tell my DH when I'm gazing around and driving. I tell him I pay taxes for both sides of the road. LMAO

You paid for both sides, use the one you like best if there is a difference.
