I love the technique. So much easier than the original way. I started one last year, but had to stop when my Mom got so sick and needed alot of care. I'll finish it one day, but I was making it for her and we lost her Christmas day so it will probably be awhile before I will feel like sewing on it again.

How does it take more fabric then doing it the traditional way? You still need fabric for top and back.

the circles are made of folded squares and then cut. so there is a pretty good sized arc left over with each one. but the technique is so easy. I don't mind the waste and the pieces are big enough to use for scrappy's maybe.
