Yay!! I'm so glad you got her fixed - it was money well spent. When she can't be fixed anymore the repair guy will tell you, until then enjoy her, keep her clean and tuned up and she'll last you for years.
Were there any other issues beside the presser foot lifter?

He didn't do anything else but he did tell me that model is great and as close to industrial as you can get!! I remember my other complaint about her is when you wind a bobbin, it doesn't disengage the sewing. I knew there was something else!!
I had to pick her up on my lunch hour so I wasn't able to ask a lot of questions... Had to go back and eat lunch!
He said if I ever wanted rid of it to let him know. I didn't tell him you had dibs!!
